Wonders of Nature

Nature is full of wonders that we very often fail to see or understand. Flowers and trees are God’s greatest wonders. How delicately they are made! How charming, and above all, how useful!
The animal and insect world abounds with wonders. There are fish that produce their own electricity. There are insects that live and work in colonies more disciplined than those of man. There are birds with richly-colored feathers and clear voices. The weaver bird weaves its own nest, and the tailor bird actually stitches together leaves to make a cozy home. The tortoise carries its house on its back.
Even if you live in a city, you can very well enjoy the dew-drops on the flowers in the morning, the silvery moon, the twinkling stars and the thunder and lightning during monsoon. How many of us have ever stopped to admire the beauty of nature? The rainbow with its seven colors, the rising sun or the fierce waves of the ocean? We are always too busy and have no time for all this. We prefer watching Television. The wonders of nature are everywhere.
The trees know exactly when to shed their leaves and when to flower. Trees are often called ‘man’s best friends. Trees provide us with an abundance of fruits and vegetables of various kinds. They provide shade and make the atmosphere cool. They provide oxygen for breathing.
Animals are also crucial and it is very difficult to imagine life without animals. There are many benefits that man gets from animals. Wool, hair, bones are all derived from animals and they are utilized for various purposes. Buffaloes are made to plough on fields, elephants are used to transport logs of wood from one place to another, camels used in desert areas, horses for transporting luggages and dogs used for watching houses.
The most important thing is that animals and human beings develop a strong bond of companionship between them. They support life by serving as food and at the same time they destroy life by destructing crops or killing animals and thereby maintaining an equal balance.
It is important to preserve nature as well as protect animals. Today lot of stress is given on the importance of animals and many measures are taken to protect their lives.
Nature is all around us. We only need to open our eyes and our hearts.
