’Manners make Man’. A person who is very considerate and courteous towards others is supposed to have good manners. Such a person generally is respected by others and is also respectful to his superiors, very courteous to his equals and also sympathetic towards his subordinates. He always shows concern and often sees for the well-being and comfort of others.
There is always a saying that ’First impression is the best impression’. When we meet a person for the first time, it is generally the person’s manners which tends to impress us deeply. The manners which we learn in childhood are carried throughout our lives. Good manners are taught by our parents at home and by teachers at school. They tend to become a part and parcel of our personality.
So it is very important that these manners are instilled in children when they are young so that they grow up to become more courteous, pleasant adults. Childhood is one of the best periods to learn good manners. It is quite important to have it cultivated in every mind during the childhood itself so that it does not depart. Good manners cost us nothing but can buy everything.
They help us to win friends and also conquer our enemies. They tend to make the world a happier place to live in by reducing friction and avoiding tension. Practically in any mode of life, good manners helps us a lot, may be in business or service or education or any part of life. In business or service, one comes across lot of people or one may term it as lot of customers. In today’s world, the world of internet, customer is the king. Speaking politely and keeping our commitment helps to bring in lot of customers. Good manners help a lot and more customer’s means more business.
Everyone likes a person who speaks and behaves politely and treat others respectfully. Such a person is always ready to understand other people and tries to be helpful to them. He forgets and forgives the wrongs others have done to him.
Hence it is very important to emphasize on good manners and it is to be cultivated right from childhood.
